Photo Friday: Wild Turkeys
Clearly, animals know when they live in a protected area.
These photos were taken at the entrance to a walking trail in a park where, from what I’ve been told, bird hunting is not allowed. Logical considering the number of people walking around. There may be some conservation-related motivations too.
In any case, the wild turkeys have figured out they are higher in the pecking order (so to speak) than the humans because they were strolling across the path and cutting people off like they owned the place.
Protected or not, this encounter was pretty close to Thanksgiving. The turkeys were rolling the dice more than they realised.
